4th Oct 2012

Today with got into our groups and discussed our ideas to each other. Our group (Me, Ollie & Bradley) we came to an agreement that none of our ideas were what we wanted and decided to think of a new one. The idea we agreed on is simple however will hopefully be effective.

Idea, the idea is about a group of mates playing football, the football ends up being kicked away and someone kicked a rugby ball back. This part one of the actors will pick up the ball in slow motion and hold it above their head and will shout rugby, at the point this actor gets wiped out by a rugby player (in slow motion). As the rugby ball rolls away the football will roll back into the scene where another actor will pick it up and start playing football again.

Today we were discussing about where to shoot our 90 sec movie, however when we got told that our next step is to take pictures of places which could be suitable we decided to talk about how to do a suitable shot of getting the the football & rugby ball in and out of the scene.

8th Oct 2012

Our group got together and discussed our idea again, with the idea fresh in our minds we made a shot list. The shot list was to help up to go on to make a storyboard which will help guid us when we finally get to shoot our 90sec film. We managed to start on our storyboard briefly but didnt have enough time to finish it, meaning we will finish it next lesson.

9th Oct 2012

We managed to get the storyboard finished to a decent standered and we are ready to start shooting, however we need to find the right spot to film first which we will be doing soon.

10th Oct 2012

Today we went outside and took pictures of available places to shoot our film, we thought the best place appropriate is the reck. This has the goals and a fence which is our main scene in our film. We also done the risk assessment and other requirements to be able to film. Therfore hopefully next lesson we should be able to start filming.

11th Oct 2012

We went outside to the spot we took pictures of and done some practice shots. These shots helped us to decide if it was the right spot, and we decided it is.

12th Oct 2012

It was raining today so we decided to do our pre-production work insted and film on our double period on monday morning. Filiming early monday morning will mean we can get all of our shots and they will all be in the same time period so they fit better.

15th Oct 2012

Today we had a double lesson first and we used this to start filming, we had cold wet weather but still decided to film due to not having long to film it. We got the main points of the film done and we came back a little early to upload them and see what they look like on screen, we showed shaun and he suggested to make our clips shorter to make our game of football look faster and more exiting. We took his feedback and went outside and took some more clips of us playing football close up, these clips made it easy to edit and cut them to make out game of football really fast.

16th Oct 2012

It was very windy today and i was wearing differnt clothes, we were worried that because we were wearing different clothes it would effect our film. However now having all our footage and uploading it all we started putting together our film. Even though we were wearing differnt clothes in bits of the film it is still going to together nicely and aslong as we edit well i think it will look alright. In the next double lesson tomorrow we should be able to nearly finish the editing and be able to show our teachers what we have done.

17th Oct 2012

Finished editing our clips, however we came accross an error of continuity and we had to retake 4 shots, we will upload and edit them in next lesson then we need to focus on the other editing. The editing we need to do is to add music and to create our end credits and after we have done these we will have our finished 90sec film.

18th Oct 2012

Today we finished our short 90sec movie, we took out somem of our old footage and replaced it due to continuity errors we had. Our Film is done and ready to be seen to by Sean or Ellie.
