In this brief evaluation I will be explaining my favourite and least favourite aspects of the video. I will also will be talking about the ups and downs when making the video, and will be going through ways that I could have improved it and what I would change to do so.
My favourite aspect of the video is when I get pushed of the desk, this shot got the most laughs and it was a highlight of the video, however during the shot one of the actors smiled which could be seen as a continuity error. This shot took a lot of attempts because we kept laughing every time I got pushed off the desk so we had to keep retaking the shot till we got it good enough. However this is one of my favourite but there is another favourite which is an extreme close up of Alex’s face. This shot is an extreme close up and it shows the anger in his eyes which gave the video a good effect.
My least favourite aspect of the video was the title at the start. I thought the text did not go with the video and it kind of ruined it a little bit, however because a shot is taken at the same time it was not as bad, the shot after the opening scene was very smooth and it made the video look very professional therefore the title didn’t have much bad impact on the video.
I thought overall the process of making the video went very well and when we edited it, it seemed to run very smoothly. I really like the beginning of the video because when Alex walks towards the door and through ran very smoothly and it looked really professional. We didnt brake the 4th wall which was good.
Some scenes such as me getting pushed off the desk and the end scene were i have to laugh took a few more shoots that others because of a few errors. These errors being background laughter and also not getting my whole head in the shot at the end. Also the title didnt go to plan because we rushed it a little bit and we didnt really realise that it didnt fit our film.
Overall my group done really well and had hardly any continuity errors and the whole film ran smoothly, the only thing we didn’t think fitted was the title. However we were all please with our film and got good feedback from the class.
Kieran,
ReplyDeleteThis is a little brief and doesn't really delve into continuity or other terms in detail. I would really like you to revisit this and apply all of the media terms we have learned in the last few weeks (and before) to your analysis and evauation.
